by Corny O'Connell

The New York International Auto Show is town this week. Who doesn't love wandering around the Javitz Center with a plastic bag full of brochures, ogling the spokesmodels? In any event, we're marking the ocassion with your favorite songs about cars. Park a few in the comments below and we'll take them for a spin after 9am.

While you're here, please make a contribution to WFUV.

Here's what we played

Janis Joplin "Mercedes Benz"

Judith Owen - Sunday Breakfast - 2014

by John Platt
Judith Owen is a vivacious, Welsh-born singer-songwriter, who, as a young woman in the UK, was drawn to the '70s Southern California sound of Carole King and James Taylor. She recorded her new CD, "Ebb and Flow," with some of the musicians who backed JT and Carole in the studio, and when she came back to WFUV, she brought along three of them - Leland Sklar, Russ Kunkel, and Waddy Wachtel - for a truly special session in Studio A.
