Bonnaroo, Coming to You

by Rita Houston

I think we can all agree we've had enough of winter and we sure are ready for the start of the summertime music festival season. It's time to bust out the shorts, floppy hats and sunblock and get ready to run around and catch a pile of our favorite artists all in one place.

This weekend in New York it's the Clearwater festival, but for me and about 80,000 other folks willing to travel, it's time for Bonnaroo.

What did we play? We're glad you asked:

1. "46 Days" - Phish, Round Room

2. "So You Want to Be (A Rock 'n' Roll Star)" - Patti Smith, Waves

Mavis Staples - FUV Live - 2013

by Rita Houston

Ahead of the release of her brand new album One True Vine, Soul & Gospel legend Mavis Staples stops by Studio A to share some of the new songs with us.

I talked with Mavis about working again with Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy as producer of the new record, and she also shared some wonderful stories from the past, like what it was like to work with The Band on The Last Waltz.

Check out the videos of the amazing in-studio performances here as well.
