Shari Rosen Ascher

As the Corporate Underwriting Sales Director, it is Shari Rosen Ascher's job to find, solicit, and retain corporate clients who support WFUV by buying on-air announcements. "I love that what I do makes a difference and that I am helping the radio station that I listen to," Shari says. "I love that I am selling something I believe in."

Before coming to WFUV in 2003, Shari worked as a media buyer at several New York advertising agencies and media companies. She held a position at Banner Radio and was a Vice President of Sales at Interep Radio. Shari also opened her own business, ShareGoals, a job consulting company, where she served as Co-President.

Shari has been listening to WFUV for 10 years, and has been a member since the beginning. "I still get a kick out of the fact that I work with some of the DJs I loved listening to growing up in New York," she says.

Although she is originally from Brooklyn, Shari now resides in Dobbs Ferry, New York with her husband Neil and her two sons, Marty and Jake. Shari loves hanging out with her family and friends, throwing parties, traveling, seeing movies, and doing the New York Times crossword puzzle, "In ink, of course." She has a passion for music, and is a huge Elvis Costello fan. Shari also enjoys Pilates, tennis, and working out - all great hobbies for someone who loves to eat and cook as much as she does.
