JJ Cale

J.J. Cale Remembered On Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight" On August 3

by WFUV Staff

On Saturday night, Vin Scelsa takes a look back at the music of the great J.J. Cale with a special edition of "Idiot's Delight"®.  Back in September 1994, Cale appeared on "Idiot's Delight."® and Vin revisits that interview and live session.

Cale offered up tales of his lurid, fascinating past and chatted with Vin about "After Midnight" and how Eric Clapton came to record it. Cale also played that classic song and others with a small combo.

Tonight we go back to the archives for J.J.'s 1996 visit with Rita Houston, when he performed a few songs from his CD 'Guitar Man.'
