Kathy Mattea

Kathy Mattea - Sunday Breakfast - 2013

by John Platt

One of country music's biggest stars in the 80's and 90's, Kathy Mattea returned to her Appalachian roots 3 years ago to record an album called "Coal." It changed her life. She's back with a sequel, "Calling Me Home," lending her beautiful voice to songs by Jean Ritchie, Hazel Dickens, and others. Kathy joined me in Studio A for a warm conversation and a performance of 4 songs from the album.
