Lost In The Trees

Lost In The Trees - FUV Live - 2014

by Russ Borris

This collective from North Carolina is led by Ari Picker, who has a background in film composition — making Lost In The Trees albums as musical as they are visual. The latest is called Past Life and the band stopped by Studio A to share some of the new songs and to talk about the making of the new record and the changes that the band has gone through.

From the FUV Vault: Lost In The Trees

When I first heard the album A Church That Fits Our Needs from Lost in the Trees, I was blown away by the beauty of the music and honesty of the lyrics.  The North Carolina band is filled with some of the most skilled musicians we've ever had in Studio A and their session was really impressive.  The videos are great, too!  We'll air this session tonight at 9 on WFUV, but you can also listen to it anytime you want by clicking here

Lost In The Trees - Words and Music - 2012

by Russ Borris

The North Carolina collective Lost In The Trees follows wherever the musical mind of Ari Picker leads, and in the case of their new album - A Church That Fits Our Needs - the territory is somber yet transcendent in its tribute to Picker's late mother. Hear how the lush orchestration of the album translates live in this Studio A performance.
