Since Nellie McKay burst on the scene 9 years ago with her two-CD debut album, Get Away from Me, she's earned acclaimed for her cabaret shows and her acting. She won a Theater World Award for her role as Polly Peachum in the Broadway production of The Threepenny Opera, and she's won rave reviews for her work in the Old Hats, starring Bill Irwin and David Shiner at the Signature Theatre Center. She came into Studio A to talk about contributing music to that show and being a foil for the clowning of Irwin and Shiner.
