Warren Bernhardt

Marc Black and Warren Bernhardt - Sunday Breakfast - 2013

by John Platt
Marc Black and Warren Bernhardt are a pair of music veterans from Woodstock. Marc is a socially-conscious singer-songwriter, while Warren is a world-class jazz pianist, who's played with everyone from Paul Winter to Paul Simon. They share a passion for Tim Hardin: Warren was a member of his band, and Marc lives in his old house. That inspired them to collaborate on a CD, Champions of Love, which includes a couple of Hardin tunes, some blues, and some originals. They treated us to a taste of all three in Studio A.

A Randy Kind of Sunday Morning

by John Platt

How's this sound for your Sunday morning? We'll have an early celebration of Thanksgiving and Randy Newman's 70th birthday that same day. (Count on some cool covers.) Then a session in Studio A with a pair of music veterans from Woodstock - Marc Black, who comes from the singer-songwriter tradition, and Warren Bernhardt, a world-class jazz pianist - who'll treat us to performances from their collaboration, Champions of Love. You may not wanna get out of bed!
