The Wood Brothers

The Wood Brothers - FUV Live - 2013

by Carmel Holt

The Muse is the fourth full-length album from The Wood Brothers, and it is quite possibly their best yet. Oliver Wood’s unique vocals and descriptive lyrics pair perfectly with his brother Chris’ wonderfully skilled bass playing. Of course, being one-third of the band Medeski Martin & Wood, we’ve come to expect this high level of proficiency from him. The new Wood Brothers record also features Jano Rix on the shuitar, which is a hybrid instrument that allows for percussion playing and guitar strumming. We'll talk all about this and more during this episode of FUV Live.

The Wood Brothers - Words and Music - 2006

by Rita Houston
'Ways Not To Lose' is the debut CD from The Wood Brothers, but neither brother is a stranger to music. Oliver is part of the Atlanta-based King Johnson, and Chris rounds out the Medeski, Martin, and Wood trio. They join Rita Houston for some live music and conversation.
