Hear an FUV Live session with Holiday Cheer headliner, Conor Oberst tonight at 9.

Of course you know this prolific musician from his work with his bands, “Bright Eyes”, “Desaparecidos” and “Monsters of Folk” to name a few.  He’s also put out several albums as a solo artist. In fact, earlier this year he released his 6th solo record, Upside Down Mountain, which we made our New Dig focus during release week. Of the recent album, Oberst says, “For me, language is a huge part of why I make music. I’m not the greatest guitar player or piano player—I’m not the greatest singer, either—but I feel if I can come up with melodies I like that are fused with poetry I’m proud of, then that’s what I bring to the table.” Here I talk with the ever-so-humble Conor Oberst, and we also hear him perform some of the new songs for us live in Studio A.
