Danny Kalb - Sunday Breakfast - 2013

Guitarist Danny Kalb was a student of Dave Van Ronk and founder of the legendary 1960s band The Blues Project who's continued to be an exponent of the blues and social justice. After recovering from a stroke several years ago, he went into the studio with producer Mark Ambrosino and an array of sidemen to record what became a two-CD release, "Moving in Blue." Danny returned to the Sunday Breakfast for a session with Mark on drums and Lenny Nelson on bass to perform songs including Leadbelly's "Leaving Blues" and the Rev. Gary Davis' "Samson and Delilah."
