As much as I enjoyed the solo record J Mascis released last year, there was something missing. It was very cool to hear him play some softer, acoustic songs, but I couldn't help but think it needed to be louder. Much louder. Thankfully, J has returned alongside Lou Barlow and Murphy to release the new DInosaur Jr. album I Bet on Sky. One of the most influential acts in indie rock, the band's new album (due out this Tuesday) is their first in three years and a great return.
