Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight" for December 7

by WFUV Staff

Vin Scelsa weaves an unpredicatable tapestry on tonight's "Idiot's Delight"® at 8, following the city lights lead of Emily Barker and The Red Clay Halo.

Inspired by Emily's lyrics, Vin finds himself on a journey that takes him to Richard and Linda Thompson, seaside songs, Laura Cantrell, river fires, Randy Newman and even odes to a particular Midwestern state.

"This show is a good example of how a 'typical' Idiot's Delight® set grows from the dimmest spark, hardly enough to call an idea" says Vin. "It's easy for the listener to follow, once you get the hang of where the common threads lead."

Follow those threads with Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"®, Saturdays from 8-10 p.m. on 90.7FM, also streaming online.

Tuned in late to the show? You can find "Idiot's Delight"® in the FUV archives for two weeks after broadcast.
