Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight" For January 25

by WFUV Staff
Yo La Tengo

Vin Scelsa is still on vacation, but before he left, he unearthed another episode of "Idiot's Delight"® that he felt deserved a second listen. Vin says he was quite pleased with the flow and variety of this show, which first aired on January 12, 2013.

Tonight at 8, flashing back one year ago, Vin notes Rich Conaty's 40th anniversary of "The Big Broadcast" on WFUV and also explores Yo La Tengo's then-new album Fade. "I also imagine what it might be like if mid-1970s Mick Jagger morphed into Leonard Cohen from that same era," says Vin. "Plus, any show that includes Mariachi El Bronx and Andy Williams deserves on encore replay, doncha' think?"

That's Vin Scelsa's "Idiot's Delight"®, Saturdays from 8-10 p.m. on 90.7FM, also streaming online.

Did you know that if you happen to miss tonight's show, you can find "Idiot's Delight"® in the FUV archives for two weeks after broadcast?
