#9 Fordham dispatches Georgetown, 34-12
Nebrich and Jones combine for a big day, Rams move to 7-0
Fordham Football is 7-0 for the first time since 1930. Let that sink in.
The Rams took care of Georgetown 34-12 on the road Saturday in another offensive explosion. Michael Nebrich completed a Patriot League record 20 consecutive passes to begin the game, and Fordham never looked back from a 28-0 halftime advantage. They have now outscored opponents 76-17 in the first quarter this season.
The defense also had it's moments including a 29 yard interception return for a touchdown from Jordan Chapman in the first half.
The offense did, however, slow down in the second half. They scored just 6 points, and there can be no doubt that head coach Joe Moorhead will look to improve upon mistakes made. Specifically, 8 penalties for 56 yards with 7 coming in the second half.
The Rams travel to the historic Yale Bowl in New Haven, Connecticut next Saturday to take on the Yale Bulldogs at Noon. The One on One pregame report will air at 11:50 AM on both 90.7 FM and WFUVSports.org.
Kenny Ducey, DJ Sixsmith and I recaped the game on the One on One Postgame Report. We also break down the key plays and disscuss Michael Nebrich's historic day.
