It’s Easter Sunday and a musical revival of Jimi Hendrix is part of the feast! The new set, Both Sides Of The Sky, features rare late-era performances by Hendrix with the Experience, Band Of Gypsys, plus a rare demo of “Woodstock” with Stephen Stills on vocals and organ, and Jimi accompanying on bass!

New offerings by some artists we haven’t heard from in a while—Snow Patrol and Belly—are also part of the table setting. The upcoming 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King’s assassination on April 4 is observed with music and historical news footage from the moment, sourced from a treasured LP record summing up the news year 1968.

Have a great Easter/Passover, and stream a "Cavalcade" encore in the Weekend Archives.
