Cheers for Amos Lee

Ten years ago, Amos Lee was teaching elementary school in his hometown of Philadelphia. We've been following just about every step he's made since hearing his debut album in 2005.
You might have first seen Amos as an opening act, for artists like Norah Jones or Bob Dylan; those two tours earned him a lot of fans along the road. He's released five albums on Blue Note records, each one a gem, and each one has climbed further up the charts. You can hear live versions of great songs going back several albums, plus interviews, in the links below.
Along the way, Amos has worked with artists like Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Alison Krauss and Patty Griffin, not to mention both Iron & Wine's Sam Beam and Calexico's Joey Burns (who produced 2011's Mission Bell) -- which makes for a mighty smooth matchup for the upcoming Holiday Cheer for FUV benefit show. Catch those three gentlemen of song along with Nick Lowe, Kathleen Edwards and Beth Orton on December 10th at the Beacon Theatre.
