This week we look at why English novelist Jane Austen is still an important literary figure

This year marks the bicentennial anniversary of Jane Austen's beloved novel, Pride and Prejudice.  Two hundred years later, and Austen still is recognized as an international phenomenon.  We look at the history of Austen's career, her importance in the literary world, and the relevance of her work in present society.  WFUV's Katie Fisher talks with Fordham University Professor and Jane Austen expert, Susan Greenfield.
