Fordham Crushes Colgate 56-19

Nebrich 395 yards, 2 TDs in First Game Back

Jack Coffey Field was silent a mere two weeks ago when starting quarterback Michael Nebrich left the Bucknell game with a knee injury. Today, the Fordham fans cheered once again as he returned to the field. The Rams fell last week without Nebrich, but the offense took off with his return, marching 65 yards in under two minutes to give Fordham an early 7-0 lead this afternoon.

They would not look back.

Fordham scored four touchdowns on their first four drives of the game, and when all was said and done, the team racked up 8 trips to the endzone.

Wide receiver and punt returner Brian Wetzel had half of those - three through the air, and one on an 81-yard punt return. Tebucky Jones was the team's leading receiver with 224 yards receiving and one touchdown. On the ground, Carlton Koonce rushed for nearly 150 yards and added two scores of his own.

Fordham, ranked 11/12 heading into the game, now awaits the decision of the NCAA Selection Committee on November 24th.
