Fordham outlasts Army in the WNIT, 55-46

Fordham is on to the 2nd round and a matchup with Boston University in the Rose Hill Gym

In a raucous Rose Hill Gym, Fordham came out of the gate slow but recovered in time to win their first postseason game in thirty years over former Patriot League rival Army.  By virtue of Fordham’s first round win, the Rams will host the Terriers of Boston University on Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm.

The Rams were sluggish in the early stages of the game, but held the lead for the majority of the second half.  Arielle Collins, Marah Strickland, and Abigail Corning took turns scoring big buckets in the second frame for the Rams.  The game was sealed with a perfect 8-for-8 performance from the line in the game’s final minute by Fordham shooters. will have live play by play coverage of Fordham's second round WNIT matchup with Boston University, with the One on One pregame report coming your way at 1:55.
