Fordham Overpowers Columbia, 52-7
As the clock ticked to zero, the scoreboard read 52-7, a resounding victory for Fordham to keeping them undefeated for the season. However, just a half before, the Rams went into the locker room up just 10-0 and having blown an opportunity to score right before the half. Coach Joe Moorhead said the offense needed to come out fast in the second half, and they did.
Quarterback Michael Nebrich listened to his coach and led the offense to 42 points in the second half, 28 coming during a 10 minute period in the third quarter. Nebrich ended the day 32 for 38 with 347 yards passing, 2 touchdowns and 85 yards rushing. His running back Carlton Koonce raced for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns on a day where alumni returned to celebrate the success of the unbeaten 4-0 2013 Rams.
On the One on One Postgame Report, Mack Rosenberg broke down the team’s highlights with the guys who called the game, Michael Watts and Nick Logerfo. They discussed the offense’s astounding 600+ yard production and the defense’s near shut-out and gave special mention to captain Ian Williams.
