Fordham Retains Ram-Crusader Cup, Beat Holy Cross 32-30
Nebrich Breaks Single-game Passing Record, Rams Survive Post-Halloween Scare
The Fordham Rams continued their pursuit of an undefeated season with a narrow defeat over Holy Cross this Saturday 32-30. Fordham was led, as they have been all season, by quarterback Michael Nebrich who became the first player in school history to throw for over 500 yards.
Fordham found themselves trailing at halftime for the second time this season. Holy Cross QB Peter Pujals took advantage of two Fordham turnovers in the first half. But the Rams came out strong in the second half, giving up just one touchdown to Holy Cross and scoring two touchdowns plus a key field goal from Mike Marando to make it a 9 point lead.
Carlton Koonce also played a key part for Fordham on offense. He rushed for 147 yards on 28 carries and a touchdown in the win.
