Governors Cuomo, Malloy and Murphy Sue Federal Government Over Tax Overhaul

Governor Cuomo, along with Connecticut's Governor Dannel Malloy and New Jersey's Governor Phil Murphy, said that the tax overhaul targets democratic states like theirs for political reasons.

Murphy said he's worried that this tax overhaul could be the start of something bad.

"They'll start talking about needing to cut into the big entitlement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security,"  Murphy said. "States like ours rely upon [these programs] disproportionately. This is one battle in a broader war."

Murphy said that the tax overhaul eliminates important deductions that New Jerseyans relied on, but President Trump says the overhaul is playing a major factor in the economy's upward trend.
