John Paul White: 2016

Songwriter, producer, label head and studio owner John Paul White is back with a new album​ — a solo album called Beulah. This was not a given. After the end of The Civil Wars in 2012, John Paul found himself happily out of the spotlight, working at home in Alabama, having good uninterrupted family time and working with other artists like St. Paul and the Broken Bones and the legendary Donnie Fritts.

But writers must write, and John Paul eventually succumbed to the voices in his head to get back to performing. The new material is stark, authentic and honest, and this Studio A performance brings a rare intimacy, courtesy of an artist who creates a world and brings ​us into it with his songs.
