Korby Lenker, writer of songs and stories, grew up in Idaho, the son of a mortician. He says that didn't warp him, though it may have had an effect on his songwriting. Now settled in Nashville, he returned to Idaho to work on his seventh album, Thousand Springs, on the edge of Snake River Canyon, in a cabin north of Sun Valley, in his father's mortuary, and in a dozen other places.

Along the way, he enlisted help from friends such as Nora Jane Struthers, Anthony daCosta, and Amy Speace to flesh out the songs, but he never actually set foot in a recording studio. We're thankful he stepped into WFUV's Studio A for this session.
