New York City’s hospitals are shutting the doors to reality TV cameras, with the Greater New York Hospital Association saying entertainment “has no place in our emergency rooms.” Now, prior written consent is required before filming any patient. The issue of hospitals being used for entertainment surfaced in 2011, when ABC show “NY Med” received flak for filming a man’s final moments.
