Morning Brief: February 10 2016

Last night was the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary and the winners are: Billionaire Donald Trump on the Republican side and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders on the Democratic side. But some analysts are arguing that GOP contender John Kasich could also be considered a winner for doing unexpectedly well and trumping the other establishment candidates (specifically Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and Marco Rubio). Republican Senator Marco Rubio performed poorly, with about 10 percent of the vote, compared to his third place "victory" in Iowa. This could have been a result of his lackluster debate performance during this past Saturday night's debate. Full story.
