Morning Brief: July 3

Tomorrow's Independence Day and that means Macy's famed fireworks display. There'll be some prime viewing spots across the city. In Manhattan, public viewing will be set up along FDR Drive. But really, any point on the island with an unobstructed view of the East River is a good place to watch from. The same goes for Queens and Brooklyn. Some neighborhoods that'll probably fill up quick include Upper Manhattan, Long Island City, Hunter's Point, Greenpoint, the South Street Seaboard and Brooklyn Bridge Park. But if fighting crowds to see the display isn't your style, it'll be televised like always starting at 8 pm.
