Morning Brief: June 1

Today kicks off Pride Month across the country, celebrating the nation's LGBTQ community. The city has all sorts of events planned throughout June, ultimately culminating in the Pride March, PrideFest and Dance on the Pier in Manhattan on the 28th. That's the date of the Stonewall Riots back in 1969, largely considered the start of the modern LGBTQ rights movement.
