My Bubba: 2016

The Swedish and Icelandic duo My Bubba create intimate songs with beguiling melodies. Their harmonies are so in synch with each other that you'd think they were actual sisters—but they're not. My Larsdotter and Guðbjörg Tómasdóttir (Bubba) serendipitously met in Copenhagen, Denmark, almost ten years ago and have been making beautiful music together ever since.

My Bubba have released a third album called Big Bad Good and the pair recently stopped by Studio A to talk about the album and play us a couple of the new songs.

We recorded this session on Bob Dylan's (and my) birthday in May, so I asked if they would cover a Dylan tune too and they did a gorgeous version of "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go."
