New Yorkers: Bloomberg Mayoralty Mainly a Success
New Yorkers say the 12-year mayoral administration of Michael Bloomberg was mainly a success.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Friday found that 64 percent of city voters say Bloomberg was a success as mayor, while just 24 percent say he was a failure.
Sixty-three percent of those polled say Bloomberg made the city better, and 16 percent said he made it worse.
But only 37 percent of voters say Bloomberg made life better for them and their family. Twenty-one percent say he made life worse and 37 percent say he had no effect on their lives.
The poll is based om telephone interviews with 1,288 New York City voters conducted between Jan. 9 and Jan. 15. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.7 percentage points.
