OJR at WFUV

OJR is the acronym for the hugely talented songwriter Oliver John Rodgers. As OJR, he recently released Nashville Demos, a collection of songs recorded in the famed music city but with its roots right here in New York. After spending a few years in Brooklyn, Oliver moved to Nashville, and after the release of the new record the attention on OJR has steadily grown.

Listen in for a great conversation about the making of the album, OJR's songwriting process and his archaeological aspirations too. Oliver also performed great acoustic versions of “Numb” and “My Generation” and a new song as well.

[recorded: 8/9/16]
