One on One's Rookie Report: Week 4

Jamal Adams

Adams had his most productive game that lead him and the Jets to their shock first win of the season. Adams showed off his diverse skill set with 2 Tackles for Loss,1 QB Hit, and 1 pass deflection. Adams has been relatively overshadowed by Marcus Maye so far in the season as the most impactful rookie on the Jets, but Adams’ play actually translated into a win this week.

Evan Engram

Engram had yet another productive game with 5 receptions and 45 yards receiving. Engram is steadily improving as a dependable target, but the Giants continue to struggle. Engram might be a sore point for Giant fans as a talented player who isn't needed on this particular roster, but it still doesn't detract from the promise he has shown as a rookie on a struggling offense.

Kareem Hunt

Hunt has been the most impactful rookie this season and is on pace for both 1000 rushing and receiving yards. Hunt is on a solid Chiefs team and is a perfect compliment to Tyreek Hill. Hunt has firmly intrenched himself as a critical player in the league who teams have to scheme for and isn't just a solid player on a hot streak, but instead a quality player who is reaching stardom before our eyes.

Dalvin Cook

Cook rebounded from a poor week 2 with a well rounded week 3 performance. Cook had 97 rushing yards and 72 receiving yards. Like Kareem Hunt, Cook is also has the chance to reach both 1000 yards receiving and rushing due to the way the Vikings move him into motion and therefore freeing him up from having to face the first level of the opposing defense. Cook will be a critical player that the Vikings will heavily lean on, but he has experience being the lead offensive contributor since he was nearly the entire Florida State offense in 2016.

Tre’Davious White

White was the most impactful Bill last week despite being a rookie cornerback. White came into camp with a lot of hype and has exceeded expectations each week. This past week White stat stuffed to the tune of 7 tackles, 4 pass deflection, and 1 interception. A cornerback with such productivity and has steadily improved since he was drafted by the Bills, is a sign that White has a bright future ahead of him.
