Nashville singer and songwriter Rayland Baxter describes himself as a “singer of song, a teller of tale, a picker of strings, and a thinker of things." He specializes in an alternative country sound that he introduced on his 2012 debut, Feathers & Fishhooks.

Last month, Baxter released his second album, Imaginary Man. The record features colorful instrumental arrangements, the clever use of effects, and his distinctively Southern voice. He tells stories of relationships and heartache through compelling characters.

See Rayland Baxter and his band performing a couple of the new songs and listen to the interview here.
