Russian ambassador to the U.N. dies suddenly

Vitaly Churkin was in his office at the Russian mission when he suddenly fell ill.  The ambassador was rushed to New-York Presbyterian hospital where he died.  The cause of death is unknown at this time.  Churkin had been Russia's enjoy to the United Nations since 2006.  He was considered Moscow's great champion at the U.N.  Former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power tweeted she was devastated by Churkin's passing.  She called him, "a diplomatic maestro" who did everything he could to bridge U.S.-Russian relations.
