Brian Burton and Sam Cohen, musical creators for 'Resistance Radio'

The Amazon TV series The Man In The High Castle is loosely based on a 1962 Philip K. Dick novel that reimagines history with the Allies losing World War II. It takes place 17 years after war's end in an America divided and controlled by the Greater Nazi Reich in the East and the Japanese Pacific States in the West. In Season 2 of the series, a pirate radio network emerges, called "Resistance Radio," which inspired a new collection of gorgeously reimagined songs of that era, produced by Danger Mouse (a.k.a. Brian Burton) and Sam Cohen.

Resistance Radio: The Man In The High Castle Album features guest vocalists including Beck, Norah Jones, Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, James Mercer, Karen O, Kevin Morby, and Sam Cohen himself. Cohen joined us on FUV Live to discuss the project and how he and Burton took on the task of covering early '60s music in an authentic yet modern way, creating an elegant companion piece to the series.
