Paul Cavalconte here and today's Question of the Day is all snarls, sneers, and safety pins as we salute the Sex Pistols' "Anarchy In The U.K.," released on November 26, 1976.

Today we take punk for granted, but it was quite a shock to the system 42 years ago. What was the song that grabbed you first from the young genre?

Be it Ramones, the Undertones, Iggy, or Bad Religion, I'll serve up your set, minus ground glass, just past 9 a.m.

PLAYED:

MC5-Kick Out The jams

Richard Hell-Blank Generation

Sex Pistols--Pretty Vacant

Clash--London Calling
