New York City's Lucius in a pop-up performance at Solid Sound, captured on video.

Two singers and three accompaniers form Lucius (@ilovelucius), based in Brooklyn, who so far have one EP to their name - their self-titled debut was recorded and produced in the Ditmas Park house where the band lived.

NPR Music's Bob Boilen included the band's performance as one of his 15 Essential Moments from SXSW, and their songs have been featured on Grey's Anatomy and New Girl. Lucius' 2013 summer gigs include key opening slots with Tegan and Sara and The Head and The Heart, and their first full-length album is due out in the fall. The roster: Jess Wolfe, Holly Laessig, Dan Molad, Peter Lalish and Andrew Burri.

This performance was a pop-up surprise at MASS MoCA under the giant Phoenix exhibit, Saturday at Solid Sound 2013.
