Stephanie Gaitley Show (11/27)
After spending Turkey Day in sunny Florida last year, the Fordham Women’s basketball program hit the west coast for the first time since the 2003-2004 season. While the Rams improved to 4-0 with a victory against the University of San Francisco last Wednesday, the undefeated season finally came to an end with a loss to the University of the Pacific.
This week on the Stephanie Gaitley Show, Chris Marasco and I talked with Fordham’s head coach about the highlights of the cross-country trip and the team’s upcoming contests against Manhattan College and Marquette University. The second year head coach stressed the importance of tomorrow night’s rivalry game against the Jaspers and believes that this matchup will be a huge test for her team.
Senior forward Ranait Griff also joined us this week. After being a part of losing basketball program for the past three years, Griff told us how exciting it is to be on a winning team. Additionally, the senior recounted her experience at Alcatraz and revealed her theory about the prison’s dungeon.
WFUV is the radio home of Fordham Women’s Basketball all season long, including the weekly coaches show on Tuesday nights.
