The Wild Reeds boast an abundance of talent. In a parallel world (maybe one with Spock with a beard), Kinsey Lee, Mackenzie Howe, and Sharon Silva might all be fronting their own bands. In this world, to FUV's delight, they pool their talents and take turns as the creative engine of one group that also features the rhythm section of Nick Jones and Nick Phapiseth.

The Wild Reeds' luscious two and three-part harmonies are all the more striking when you can see — as we could in Studio A — as well as hear how their songs are colored by the addition and subtraction of vocal lines. In this FUV Live session, Lee, Howe and Silva spoke with me about the making of their new album, Cheers. They also reflected on some of the challenges they face at this point in their career and performed two songs: the infectious "Telepathic Mail" and the dreamy "Lose My Mind."
