In between Radiohead projects, Thom Yorke put his creative mind to work scoring Luca Guadagnino's 2018 remake of the cult art-horror film Suspiria. The soundtrack is an intricate balance of suspense and beauty, and it adds up to a great new solo album from Yorke.

I sat down with him at Electric Lady Studios in New York for a detailed conversation about the experience of composing this material, and his inspirations. He also performed songs from Suspiria live at the piano and on guitar, as well as a bonus solo version of a Radiohead classic.

Below, you'll find photos from the session, as well as audio of the full conversation and performance. It will also air on WFUV tonight at 8 p.m. on a special edition of "The Whole Wide World." [January 16, 2019 update: Videos of Yorke's performances are now available below too.]
