UKNY For August 1

Astonishingly, it's already August, which means that autumn (and even winter) albums are already on the horizon. On tonight's UKNY at 11, the first song unveiled from the forthcoming New Order album, Music Complete, released in late September and the band's first collection of new material in a decade (and the first without bassist Peter Hook as Tom Chapman takes his place). Also a new single from London's Eliza and the Bear, who finally release their debut album in February 2016, and Pesky, a group of precocious and punky Cumbrian tweens who've just released their first EP, giving it the saucy title Smells Like Tween Spirit.

Plus, Laura Marling (who is at Town Hall on Monday) and a very cool Commonwealth Cut from Canberra, Australia's Citizen Kay that sounds a bit like De La Soul meets the Rebirth Brass Band.

Away for a long weekend? You can catch up to UKNY on demand in the FUV weekend archives up to two weeks after broadcast.
