The Surrey quartet Softer Still records the kind of luxurious dream pop that fits a late summer mood: wistful, languid, and achingly pretty. Tonight's UKNY at 11 explores a couple of new tracks from my emerging-band-crush Softer Still (guitarist and singer Grant Williams, bassist Ellie O'Shea, guitarist Alexander Williams and drummer Ollie Kitson) and a couple of their daydreaming predecessors too, like the Railway Children.

Also, new releases from High Wycombe's Only Sun, Sheffield-bred Slow Club and the raucous Teeside duo Mouses who play the Reading Festival tomorrow, August 28.

Missed the show? You can stream UKNY in the FUV Weekend Archives for two weeks after broadcast.
