Tonight's UKNY at 11 returns from a London journey with the premiere of an FUV Live session with Frances. This young Berkshire singer and songwriter, who was longlisted for the BBC Sound of 2016 and shortlisted for the 2016 Brit Awards' Critics Choice honors, will release her debut album, Things I've Never Said, on March 17.

Also, the return of Slowdive — back with new music after over two decades — and fresh releases from Manchester's Dutch Uncles and London's Charlotte Hatherley.

And finally, a farewell to my FUV compadre Rich Conaty, who passed away on December 30 at the far-too-young age of 62. His encyclopedic knowledge of music of the '20s and '30s was a marvel, as was his focused determination to follow his own muse.

As always, if you miss the show, you can stream UKNY in the FUV Weekend Archives for two weeks after broadcast.

Songs played:

1. (For the late FUV host Rich Conaty): Bert Ambrose and his Orchestra (feat. Sam Browne), “Too Many Tears,” Riding to Glory
2. Dutch Uncles, “Big Balloon,” Big Balloon
3. Charlotte Hatherley, “A Sign,” single
4. David Bowie, “When I Met You,” No Plan EP
5. Sophia Anne Caruso, “No Plan,” Lazarus: Original Cast Recording
6. Slowdive, “Star Roving,” single

Part two of show: FUV Live session with Frances (includes live performances of “Don’t Worry About Me” and “Say It Again.” Guest DJ pick: Carole King’s “So Far Away.”
