Exhibit book for the V&A's You Say You Want A Revolution: Records and Rebels (1966-1970) and album cover for Africa Express presents ... the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians and Guests.

Several things inspired tonight's special Anglo-American edition of UKNY at 11, arcing over the Atlantic Ocean. Global focus has been on Washington D.C. this weekend for the inauguration and the Women's March on Washington (and its international satellites). And while in London earlier this month, I had the chance to see a rather galvanizing exhibit at the V&A called "You Say You Want A Revolution: Records and Rebels 1966-1970," which explored counterculture and political activism in Britain, the States and the world during the late '60s, finding parallels to today.

In the spirit of that exhibit and events at the nation's capital, expect classic and brand new selections from Gil Scott-Heron, David Bowie, Cabbage, Fold and Africa Express Presents ... The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians and Guests (including Damon Albarn and Paul Weller).

As always, if you miss the show, you can stream UKNY in the FUV Weekend Archives for two weeks after broadcast.
