On tonight's UKNY at 11 — next week the show moves to Sunday nights at the same time — a few more bands that made their way through SXSW this week, like Hull's LIFE (pictured), Melbourne's Totally Mild and Toronto's Common Deer.

Also, brand new releases from London's Simian Mobile Disco with the Deep Throat Choir, Organised Scum, and Norfolk's Broads.

And a wee salute to Professor Stephen Hawking, who passed away on Wednesday after altering the scientific world with his profound grasp of the universe. Not only did he explain the galaxy to us, but he did so with wit and compassion.

Catch up to UKNY on demand after broadcast — including last week's SXSW preview — in the Weekend Archives.
