It's been a week of some fine album and EP releases and tonight's UKNY at 11 explores some of those freshly available records from London's Ibibio Sound Machine, the British-French band Frànçois and the Atlas Mountains, High Wycombe's Only Sun, and New Zealand's Nadia Reid. Also, cool singles from Flying Ibex and Warm Digits too.

We'll also hear from the gifted Anna Meredith — her 2016 debut album Varmints made my top ten list of last year and she'll be kicking off her first US tour this month with stops at SXSW and Brooklyn's Baby's All Right on March 21.

And while Lou Reed is a quintessential New Yorker (and this week's FUV Essentials), he most memorably worked with Welshman John Cale in the Velvet Underground and on a 1990 collaboration, Songs for Drella — so we'll dip into that elegiac Warholian work too.

Missed the show?  You can stream UKNY in the FUV Weekend Archives for two weeks after broadcast.
