A surreal morning-after odyssey from electronic-leaning folksters Tunng on UKNY at 11 tonight as Mike Lindsay and his bandmates resurrect that group's original lineup, notably with the return of co-founder Sam Genders, back after 11 years. They're readying the release of a sixth album, Songs You Make at Night, later in August. (Lindsay is concurrently juggling LUMP too, his recently-birthed project with Laura Marling.)

In addition, another track from Johnny Marr's forthcoming Call the Comet — the brilliant guitarist returns to New York for a show at the Gramercy Theatre on May 31 — and a reminder that the band he founded, the Smiths, were FUV Essentials last week too.

Also, a gorgeous song from Modern Studies' arresting second album, Welcome Strangers, and bright new singles from Watford's Connie Constance, Amsterdam's Pip Blom, and Dublin's Pillow Queens.

Away for the weekend? Catch up to UKNY on demand in FUV's Weekend Archives.
