The War on Drugs at Electric Lady Studios

The War on Drugs’ last album, Lost in the Dream, was their most successful to date, earning them universal critical praise and a legion of new fans. Frontman Adam Granduciel and his bandmates crafted a lush and atmospheric sound that drew you in, grabbed hold and connected you to moments in time like few other groups could.

Naturally, there was a good amount of buzz and excitement at the legendary Electric Lady Studios back in June where the band premiered a good deal of the new album for some lucky FUV members. A Deeper Understanding is another great step forward for Granduciel who has really come into his own as a songwriter. Talk about a band that was meant to play that room.

Have a listen to this absolutely beautiful performance and check out the vids, too!
