Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) treats us to new songs live from SXSW.

Damon Albarn gets a big crowd wherever he goes, and we think it's because nobody knows just what he's going to do next.

From the big-influence, critical darling days of Blur in the '90s, to the massive success of 'virtual band' Gorillaz, to The Good the Bad and the Queen project, Damon has kept evolving. His musical journeys with African artists, his two operas, and his work as a record producer expand his world - and ours - even more.

Now that he's releasing his first proper solo record, we're listening. Damon treated us to some new songs at the Public Radio Rocks Day Stage showcase at SXSW, on March 14, 2014. Have a listen.

Funding for WFUV's ongoing coverage of live concerts and festivals comes from The Agnes Varis Trust, supporting affordable access to the arts, education and healthcare.
